Top Ten Volunteer Needs!
1. SOUL CAFE
Chef Brandon is looking for volunteers with a little "soul" to help prepare and serve lunch in the Soul Cafe (in the Destin Life Center) from 11am-2pm. Contact Brandon McLure at (850) 837-2021, or bmclure@destinumc.org.
2. WORSHIP SET-UP/BREAKDOWN
If you've ever wondered how we transform the gym before and after worship then drop by to see the crews at work. We are always looking for volunteers to help set up & put away chairs for the 9am worship service & for special events. Contact Rob Morgan (850) 225-4276, or rmorgan@destinumc.org.
3. FELLOWSHIP DINNER
Kitchen volunteers eat free! If you are willing to work for food, the kitchen crew could use your help to prepare and serve Wednesday night Fellowship Dinners. Contact Donna Stiles at (850) 650-5587, or donnast@earthlink.net.
4. SOUND & MEDIA
Lights, Camera, Action! Gary Walden is in need of electronic savvy volunteers to help with sound, lighting, and/or video on Sunday mornings or special events. Contact Gary Walden at (850) 837-2021 or gwalden@cox.net
5. SUNDAY HOSPITALITY
If you have ever enjoyed a hot cup of coffee or donut on Sunday and would like to return the favor, then contact Anita Sharron at (850) 837-2021 or asharron@destinumc.org. We depend on our volunteers to help provide this service of hospitality.
6. BUILDING & GROUNDS
The Maintenance Crew could always use help keeping the church facilities and landscaping clean and tidy. Contact Heidi Maclin 837-2021, or hmaclin@destinumc.org if you’re able to lend a hand.
7. DATA ENTRY
We are in need of computer savvy volunteers to help keep our database up to date. Contact Heidi Maclin at hmaclin@destinumc.org, or Mary Phillips at mphillips@destinumc.org.
8. CHOIR (July 4th Celebration)
Kim Cannon is recruiting new voices to participate in the July 4th Celebration and Sanctuary Choir. Contact Kim at (850) 837-2021, or kcannon@destinumc.org or drop in for Choir Rehearsal Wednesday night at 7PM in the Sanctuary.
9. GREETERS
When someone smiles and extends a hand, it's only natural to smile back and feel welcome. We want everyone to feel welcome whenever they visit Destin United Methodist Church or Life Center and we need your help. Contact Anita Sharron (850) 837-2021 at asharron@destinumc.org.
10. ADMINISTRATIVE
