The people of Destin United Methodist Church were challenged in January 2011 and again in January 2012 to commit themselves for a month of more earnest prayer and seeking after God. Daily Prayer Focus were sent each day of the month by email to help teach and guide prayer. What follows are suggestions on how we may take God more seriously through prayer.

Go to a special place to pray for 31 days
Pray for one person for 31 days
Pray for the city for 31 days
Write a prayer diary for 31 days
Pray for your children for 31 days
Pray for your spouse for 31 days
Pray for a country for 31 days
Pray with a different person for 31 days
Develop a prayer place to go to for 31 days
Pray for one thing for 31 days
Choose 31 things you desire of God
Have a prayer retreat in 2012
Pray and fast one day a week
Send 31 prayer cards to the people you pray for
Go to the prayer chapel at the church for 31 days
Write a prayer a day for 31 days
Fast one meal a day for 31 days
Pray for 31 friends in 31 days and let each know with a gift each day
