Member Recognition

Congratulations!  You have decided you want to find out how to follow Jesus but don't know where to start.  You need help learning to study the Bible and applying it to your life.  You have made a personal commitment to attend Worship regularly.  You want to get connected with a group and learn what it means to be a Christ follower. You want to live out your faith in the real world but need the support and encouragement of other Christians who will love you in spite of your mistakes!  We can help you begin your journey!

On the 3rd Sunday of each month we offer a time at the end of Worship for you to become a member of the Destin United Methodist community of believers.  We invite you to step out of your comfort zone, make a profession of faith, and give the congregation the opportunity to meet and greet you following the Worship Service.  We call this "Membership Recognition Sunday". This is a great way to take a step of faith that will help you begin your journey of Discipleship, and encourages others to follow. 

Membership forms are available at the church office, the Destin Life Center Connection Center, or you may click HERE to download a copy online. If you are currently a member of another church and wish to join Destin United Methodist, you can request a transfer of membership from your previous church.  If you would like to learn more about Destin UMC we invite you the attend one of the First Steps Newcomer's Classes or contact Sara Thomas at 850.830.7800.
