Acts 13:22 - But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, "I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart.  He will do everything I want him to do."

Daniel 6:10 -  Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before

John 4:34 - Then Jesus explained, "My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work."

Prayerful:  Pray with passion

Hebrews 5:7 - While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him fro death.  And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God.

Hebrews 5:8 -  Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered

August 12 Faithfulness Lamentations 3:22-23 - The faithful love of the Lord never ends!  His mercies never cease.  Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

 

                  

 

August 19 Gentleness Matthew 11:29  - Take my yoke upon you.  Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
