continuing loyalty 		Daniel 6:10 -  Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before

 John 4:34 - Then Jesus explained, "My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work."

Hebrews 5:7 - While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him fro death.  And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God.
