Preschool

The Preschool program begins with Activity Time; fun games and activities to build relationship with peers and leaders.  Children hear the Bible story for the day in their small groups using The Beginner's Bible.

Next children transfer to Large Group in "The Treehouse" for worship and a creative presentation of the Bible lesson using puppets, story tellers, and multi-media.  We teach main Bible stories related to a single theme in the form of the Treasure Box Truth.  The Treasure Box Truth comes directly from scripture and is repeated for 4-5 weeks to help the Biblical principle stick.

The music we sing in Large Group is specifically selected to reinforce the main truths we are teaching each week.  Just as we teach a consistent Treasure Box Truth for several weeks in a row to help children grasp who God is and how they can respond to Him, we also try to have consistent songs for the same time period to help them understand these truths about God.

Following Large Group, children return to their small groups for discussion, crafts, and activities that relate to the lesson.  The Preschool Curriculum is written by our Preschool Team and is on a 2-year cycle.

If you have questions about the Preschool curriculum, contact Nicole Goins ngoins0213@aol.com.   Parents and guardians of preschoolers receive a take-home page to help reinforce the lesson taught that weekend at home.  They include a recap of the lesson and the Treasure Box Truth to help your child understand Biblical principles.  Occasionally additional information just for parents and guardians is on the backside of the card.  Consider setting aside one night in the middle of the week to review this card with your Preschooler.

Serving in your child's room can go a long way in helping your child have positive feelings about God and being in God's house.   It also enables you to see more directly what your child is learning.
