Caroline Hare - Youth and Young Adults Minister"Dumc youth exists to Reach up to God, Reach out to others, and Reach in to each other."
"To ignite an undying passion in the hearts of young people for the daily pursuit of Christ likeness." Philippians 1:20-21
On Sunday nights we are doing a series called REACH that will be breaking down our new vision statement for the student ministry: REACH up to God, REACH out to others, REACH in to each other.
Below is a break down of some activities coming up:
Vibe Worship - Sunday morning youth worship service at 11am in the Dock. Snacks, worship, prayer time, and a talk on similar topics to the main service but geared towards 6th- 12th grades.
Ignite - 5-7pm on Sunday's in the Dock. Free Dinner, games, and small groups by gender.
REACH - Nights where the focus is fellowship and fun. It is a great opportunity for a student to invite a friend. 5-7pm on typically the last Sunday of the month.
Open Dock - Days that the Dock's game room, cafe, and computer room are open after school from 3-5pm.
Dive Small Groups - Co-ed groups that dive deeper into topics through video sermon series, guest speakers, and discussion.
Bible Breakfast - Meets at 8am at Chick-fil-a. Typically for 6th-8th grades, but the first Thursday of the month high school students may join us to eat and talk about the Bible.
It is our desire for students to fuel their passionate pursuit of God by internalizing the Word! Jeremiah 20:9 says: “His Word Is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.” We believe that true, life-long transformation can only be sustained by the power of God’s Word. Simply, we want the things of God to make sense to those who are seeking! We want students to treasure the Word, to study and know it, and apply the Truth to their daily lives. In all we do, we strive to ignite in the hearts of young people, a love for God fueled by a passion for his Word.
